The Kokoda Challenge is an event that tests participants’ physical and mental endurance while honouring the sacrifices of Australian soldiers during World War II. It serves as a reminder of the importance of resilience, teamwork, and determination in taking on and overcoming challenges. The focus is on completing the 30km, 48km or 96km course as a team, rather than pushing to finish first. Those who take on the Challenge experience a transformative journey that pushes their limits and leaves a lasting impact, the culmination of many early Sunday mornings of preparation.
This year, Lindisfarne had over 200 students from Years 7 to 11 participate in the Kokoda Challenge. Consisting of 30km, 48km (5 teams), and 96km (4 Teams).
Well done to all the students, staff, and parents who participated and assisted throughout the walks. What an experience they will never forget.
