Recently, a dedicated group of Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School students and staff participated in the rigorous Kokoda Challenge – an event known as one of Australia’s toughest endurance hikes. Participants tested their physical and mental limits across distances of 18km, 30km, 48km, and the iconic 96km course, navigating rugged terrain.
Far more than just a physical challenge, the Kokoda Challenge honours the memory of Australian soldiers who fought along the Kokoda Track during World War II. The event embodies the four key values of the Kokoda spirit: courage, endurance, mateship, and sacrifice – values that resonate deeply with our school community.
By taking part, our teams not only honoured a profound legacy but also raised funds for youth development programs that nurture resilience, leadership, and confidence in young Australians. Their journey was one of purpose and reflection, filled with camaraderie and personal growth.
We extend our congratulations to all students and staff who represented Lindisfarne. Your achievement is a powerful reminder that with the right mindset and community support, no challenge is out of reach.
