In Term 2, we proudly hosted the Big Chill Festival – an evening of music, dance, and drama under the sparkling atmosphere of our very own ‘Under the Big Top‘ style concert.
Ngahriyah (our multi purpose building) was transformed into a dynamic hub of creativity and celebration, setting the stage for a vibrant event that showcased the incredible talents of our students who captivated the audience with performances from our School Choirs, Stage Bands, Rock Bands, Drama and Dance students. Their energy, passion, and professionalism were truly inspiring and a testament to the dedication they bring to the performing arts.
We were honoured to welcome three guest artists:
- Darren Percival – Australian singer and The Voice runner-up, whose debut album reached #3 on the ARIA charts.
- Verity Hunt-Ballard – acclaimed musical theatre star known for lead roles in Mary Poppins, Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls, and The Rocky Horror Show.
- Scott Johnson – an award-winning performer across musical theatre, theatre, film, and television.
Their presence brought excitement, mentorship, and inspiration to both performers and audience members alike.
We are immensely proud of our students for the creativity and commitment they poured into every performance, and we also extend our appreciation to our dedicated staff whose behind-the-scenes work made the night seamless and memorable.
Thank you to our visiting artists for sharing their time and talents, and to all families and community members who came out in support. The Big Chill Festival was a joyful reminder of the power of the arts to bring us together and celebrate the spirit of Lindisfarne.
