The NSW Department of Education has awarded Lindisfarne ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standards’.
Whether the children are singing songs with Mr Tim or squeezing gooey mud with Miss Michelle, the holistic experience at our Lindisfarne Early Learning Centre is warm, supportive, fun and provides the preparation needed for Kindergarten and future schooling. We know, along with our parents, how special the Preschool is but we are now very proud to share the Preschool’s formal recognition of their outstanding program.
Late last year, our Preschool went through the rigorous National Quality Standards (NQS) Assessment and Rating process which allows Early Learning services the chance to show how well they compare to the diligent benchmarks set by the NQS.

The purpose of the assessment and rating process is to determine whether, and at what rating level, services meet the NQS and the requirements of the National Regulations (section 133(1) of the National Law). A key focus of the National Quality Framework is to promote continuous quality improvement and, at Lindisfarne, we don’t rest on our laurels. We are continuously striving to provide better opportunities for our students. The Rating and Assessment is a lengthy and detailed process, focusing on seven specific areas that improve outcomes for children.
Quality Area 1 – Educational Program and Practice
Quality Area 2 – Children’s Health and Safety
Quality Area 3 – Physical Environment
Quality Area 4 – Staffing Arrangements
Quality Area 5 – Relationships with Children
Quality Area 6 – Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
Quality Area 7 – Governance and Leadership.
We are very proud to acknowledge the Preschool at Lindisfarne was awarded: Exceeding the National Quality Standards.
“Your service is commended on its achievements in providing quality outcomes for children. In particular, careful planning, reflective practice and willingness to collaborate with families and other community organisations to enhance children’s learning and wellbeing demonstrate the commitment to quality by educators at your service.”
NSW Department of Education Assessment Officer 2020.
While staff are very proud of this achievement, they are even more excited about the impending new purpose-built Preschool building and playground area that will soon be located at our Junior School Campus. This facility will provide children with a high-quality learning environment that will enable them to laugh, sing and play in premium surroundings. Our Junior School staff will continue to deliver programs that foster children’s love of learning in a natural and safe environment as they currently do and we look forward to welcoming families to our “new home” very soon, and can’t wait to show you around.
In the meantime, we will continue the fun and wonder of Preschool in our current location and maintain the outstanding programs that have seen the School recognised as Exceeding the National Quality Standards.
